About the Heart Failure Research Study

About the Study

This is a Phase III clinical research study evaluating an investigational treatment for adults living with Chronic Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction (HFrEF). Researchers are studying whether adding a new investigational medication to standard Heart Failure treatment may help improve outcomes for people living with Heart Failure.

What Is Heart Failure?

Heart Failure doesn’t mean your heart has stopped working—it means your heart isn’t pumping blood as effectively as it should. This can make everyday activities more difficult and may cause symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, and swelling in the legs or feet.

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for adults 18 years or older who have been diagnosed with Chronic Heart Failure for at least 3 months, have been told their heart has a reduced pumping function (HFrEF), and are currently receiving treatment. If this sounds like you, you may qualify to participate in this research study.

About the Heart Failure Research Study

Learn how this study is evaluating a potential new treatment for adults living with Chronic Heart Failure.

Olpasiran (AMG 890) is an investigational medication using RNA interference technology to block Lp(a) production in your liver. Since Lp(a) is genetic and not affected by diet or exercise, this targeted approach may help reduce cardiovascular risk for people with elevated Lp(a). High Lp(a) can’t be controlled with lifestyle changes or standard cholesterol medications, and there are currently no approved Lp(a) treatments on the market. Olpasiran is not yet FDA-approved.

Investigational Treatment

This study is evaluating a potential new medication used alongside standard Heart Failure treatment to better understand its safety and effectiveness.

Advancing Heart Failure Research

Researchers are studying whether this investigational treatment may improve outcomes for adults living with Chronic Heart Failure.

Close Monitoring & Care

Participants receive regular study visits, health assessments, and ongoing monitoring from an experienced cardiovascular research team.

Study Participation

Eligible participants continue their regular Heart Failure care while taking part in scheduled study visits throughout the research study.
